Grand Theft Auto VI has one of the most anticipated launches in gaming history. This guide sticks strictly to what Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have officially confirmed, and clearly labels everything else as unconfirmed. We update this page whenever Rockstar publishes new information.

CONFIRMED — Release date. Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch worldwide on November 19, 2026. The date was reiterated in Take-Two's earnings communications and Rockstar's own trailer materials.

CONFIRMED — Launch platforms. GTA 6 will release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch. No other consoles have been confirmed for the November 19, 2026 launch window.

UNCONFIRMED — PC version. Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6. Based on the studio's release history with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, a PC port is widely expected roughly a year or more after the console launch — but until Rockstar confirms it, no PC release date exists. UNCONFIRMED — Editions and pre-orders. Rockstar has not announced Standard, Deluxe, Collector's or any other edition tiers for GTA 6. No pre-order date has been set. CONFIRMED — Setting and protagonists. GTA 6 is set in the state of Leonida — a modern reimagining of Florida — with Vice City as its centerpiece. The game features two playable protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, in a story Rockstar has described as a modern Bonnie and Clyde.
